Lessons and Group Golf Outings

Are you organizing an outing? Are there novices in your group?

• There are several lesson options at Butler's:

1. Lesson Clinic then golf.
   • The whole group participates (12 to 14 people).
   • Take a 2 hour lesson then play 9 holes then eat Dinner. It's one of our regular packages (see details).
   • The lesson is geared to people who have at least a little bit of golf experience, and it will cover long game, short game, and etiquette.
   • Tee times are between 12:30 and 3:00 pm.
2. ADVANCE Private Playing Lesson
   • Never been here? New golfer? Want to learn how to play a scramble?
   • Come out ahead of time and play nine with one of our Pros (PGA or LPGA). Call 412-751-9121 for an appointment.
3. Lesson . . . Instead of Golf.
   • Lessons on the day of the outing!
   • This option is highly recommended for individual beginners and non-golfers in your group.
   • Your novices meet with our teacher in a relaxed atmosphere, learn the basics of golf, play a 4-hole scramble on our practice course, then join the group for lunch and dinner -- at a slight discount.
   • We have found that many people want to participate in the outing, but if they have no golf skills, they are often pretty miserable if they have to golf a full 18 holes. Past lesson participants have been very happy that they chose the lesson option. They learned to golf and got to participate in their group's outing.
   • Free club rental and certificates for free golf are included. Minimum four persons. Must give us 10 days' notice.
4. With some lead time, your beginners may wish to take our group lessons with our Golf School, starting in April.

Are you a non-golfer but you would like to participate in your group's outing?

• Our Golf School teaches group lessons throughout the season.
• Private lessons, including playing lessons, are available with our PGA and LPGA Pros. Call 412-751-9121.
• Lessons are available on the day of an outing
  • You will arrive at the same time as the group, and your instructor will meet with you. You will spend a relaxed day at the Practice Area learning to golf. We'll cover topics like equipment, terminology, etiquette, and grip and swing basics. Of course, you'll get to hit some golf balls.
  • For lunch, you'll take a break at #10 stand, where your group will be passing through.
  • When your group comes in off of the course, you'll join them for dinner. Golfers only play in groups of four, so it's not as if you'll be missing out on 'being with the rest of the group' by doing a different activity during the day.
  • It's much less frustrating for you and for the other golfers in the group, and it's the same price either way. By next year's outing, you ought to feel a lot more comfortable on a golf course.
